Hey guys! Hope you’re all well and staying safe :) bit of a wildcard, this one; I saw Metallica live for the third time a little over a year ago in Manchester, and they pulled this one out of the bag which I really wasn’t expecting. Everyone rags on the St. Anger album for it’s production, but in the context of a live gig where everything’s set up right, and Lars’ snare drum actually sounded like a snare, they made “St. Anger” one of the stand out songs for that gig. Since then, I wanted to give it a go on the acoustic, and to try and capture the essence of that live version, instead of the one from the album. As such, I hope you all think I’ve done it justice! :’) if not, seek out the version from Manchester 2019, it’s excellent! So yeah, here’s my version of Metallica’s “St. Anger”. Enjoy! :) - Zak.
