This time, I’m visiting my own Beatrixpark parkrun in Almere.
I started this parkrun myself two years ago together with a group of enthusiastic people.
Almere is a young city in the Netherlands, founded in 1975, and located about 23 kilometers east of Amsterdam. Beatrixpark is just a 1.2 km walk from Almere Centrum train station.
The pre-run briefing and meeting point are always at the mini golf course on the park’s promenade. There’s a toilet available that parkrun participants can use for free.
The best way to get there is by train from Amsterdam Central Station — it’s just one stop away and takes only 22 minutes.
