Collage Jewelry (or altered assemblage jewelry as some call it) is a great way to work with brass stampings, vintage findings, stones, bits and baubles. It's also a lucrative way to make jewelry; it attracts lots of attention, starts conversations and makes sales! In this video we concentrate on making a bowtie style brooch with a simple floral motif, on filigree from http://www.bsueboutiques.com After we explore techniques and layout of the brooch, we'll move on to demonstrate the thought process of laying out an assemblage--the things that make for flow, movement and a great design! Most everything used in this video is found at http://www.bsueboutiques.com the B'sue Boutiques website. Here is a list of the main items with SKU numbers from the site (punch them into the site search box and the link for purchasing them will come right up for you:
--base01790 is the large raw brass necklace blank in the crescent shape
--brox09487 curved filigree leaf
--rgp0621 filigree bowtie we may have this in other plating shades, punch in bowtie to
the site search box and everything we have will come up for you
--brox08051 lacey plume-shaped brass ox leaves
--lf91 five leaf branch drop in green patina

The Mona Lisa cameo is found in our CAMEOS section. Other items used in the necklace collage might be vintage or from my personal stash of goodies. ;-)
Have fun exploring a new technique....it's a peaceful way to stay productive, sort of like piecing a puzzle. Once you try this, you'll be hooked! AND.... In the end, you'll have a piece of jewelry that someone will enjoy for many years to come. Thank you for your patronage of the B'sue Boutiques website. It's such a pleasure to be able to make these videos to inspire you! #BSue_Boutiques
