Ingredients You’ll Need:
230g sliced chicken breast
100g sliced bamboo shoots
100g sliced water chestnuts
30g onions
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp MSG (optional)
¼ tsp oyster sauce
¼ tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp Shaoxing wine (or rice wine)
A few pinches of white pepper powder
60ml water
Potato starch for thickening
Quick Cooking Method:
Blanch chicken breast, bamboo shoots, and water chestnuts for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat a wok with oil. Stir fry onions, then add the chicken, bamboo shoots, and water chestnuts.
Add Shaoxing wine, dark soy sauce, and water. Stir fry again.
Season with salt, oyster sauce, sesame oil, MSG (optional), and white pepper.
Finish by thickening the sauce with potato starch for a glossy, restaurant-style finish.
