Rescue 50 *Ride Along * Reported School Bus Crash

Rescue 50 responding to assist Station 53 (Conestoga) on a vehicle accident involving a school bus. Upon Chief 53's arrival, it was determined to be a very minor accident, and all units were recalled. The Rescue was about 30 seconds away from the scene when we were canceled. A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.

A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.

Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
