Tamneymore Farms First Cut Silage 2025 | First Time with the Claas Jaguar 970

Tamneymore Farms lifting first cut silage with the new addition to the farm with the Claas Jaguar 970 to lift there own grass. With 280 acres of first cut grass it was nice to catch the full process from start to finish. Chrissy impressing in the harvester as well with it being his first time lifting grass with the Claas Jaguar 970. It was equally impressive to see the number of people who came out to help Chrissy on the longer cart back to the home farm.

All this silage will be fed to the 240 Dairy cows being milked three times a day

Mowing
We have the Massey Ferguson 7S.190 & 7S.210 on the Claas twin and triple mower setup dropping the first cut grass, this was back on the home farm as well.

Tedding
Massey Ferguson 6718s on the TD1025X Massey Ferguson tedder kicking out the grass on the home farm

Raking & Harvesting
Campbell contacts with the Fendt on the new Tamneymore Farms own Claas 3600 Liner working in front of the Claas Jaguar 970 with a number of friends helping with the cart back to the home farm.

Buckraking
Working the silage pit we have the JCB 435s with the 14ft MDE fork pushing up and rolling the silo.
