Riding My RE Bear To The South of France 🇫🇷

Join me on an epic 2000-mile road trip to the beautiful south of France on my Royal Enfield Bear 650! 🛵 This journey was a real test for the bike and me, as we faced everything from unexpected rain and uncomfortable waterproofs to the glorious sunshine of Provence.

I started the trip with a few modifications, including installing new, taller handlebars from Bykology to improve my riding position and prevent slouching. The journey began with a crossing on the Eurotunnel and the first leg was a seven-hour ride to a town called Reims, where the bike was safely stored in a hotel barn.

Despite some challenges like a frustrating three-hour ride in constant rain, a wet torso, and numb hands, we found a quiet apartment for a night. The weather took a massive turn for the better as we finally arrived in the beautiful Provence region, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees.

Highlights from the trip:

Discovering incredible scenery in Provence, with olive plantations, vineyards, and magnificent views from the hills.

Riding up to the ruins of an old chateau and a hidden village, with a stunning view.

Witnessing a local Bastille Day celebration with traditional bull running.

Staying in a magnificent hotel in Lyon, one of my favorite cities in the world.
