(Amtrak) Cottage St #2 railroad crossing in Independence, MO with P42 leader!

Recorded on 11-23-25. Signal on the right features 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 lights with 3 of them featuring Electro-Tech LEDs and 1 having a GE Dotted LED in it mounted on a Safetran light bracket, Safetran gate mechanism, Safetran base, 3 Electro-Tech LED gate lights, and a Safetran Mechanical Bell. Signal on the left features 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 lights with with 3 of them featuring Electro-Tech LEDs and 1 having a GE Dotted LED in it mounted on a Safetran light bracket, Safetran gate mechanism, Safetran base, 3 Electro-Tech LED gate lights, and a WCH Electronic Bell.

After catching the switching movements on the NS tracks, we headed back towards Independence for the second time of the day where we would once again catch Amtrak on the UP Sedalia Sub this time at Cottage St. Fortunately the wait time wasn't that long as no sooner after we arrived, the train was already approaching the crossings to the west, and would arrive at around 4:24pm, and depart at around 4:26pm. For those who want to see the crossing activate, please skip ahead to 1:12 as I focused on the train itself at the station for the first half of the video. Once again we see #56 lead on train #316 as it makes its journey back east towards St Louis. Crossing itself no surprise remains unchanged since my last video I took here back in August of this year when I filmed on the other side of the crossing, this time around I returned to my usual side where I like to film the crossing on.
