Treating Duke's ear infection & a kittens first vaccine

During our first visit to an encampment in Inglewood, CA, we came across a lot of pets and pet parents. We were able to examine and treat 16, and one of them was a dog named Duke.

Duke was relinquished and rescued by Anthony, who took him in just a week before we arrived when he was dropped off unexpectedly. We asked him why he was dropped off there, and Anthony said, “I don’t know, I take care of everything that comes around.” He was dedicated to getting Duke the care he needed and made sure to show up when our team arrived. We treated Duke’s ear infection and saw Anthony a month later who reported Duke was doing really well!

Along with Duke, we were able to see nine other dogs and six cats, including some kittens like Destiny in this video who barely felt her first vaccine! This area had many stray cats, and we were able to make a referral to a TNR group who confirmed they will be making a visit to hopefully help control this growing stray population.
