The Pennington County Sheriff's Office is being recognized along with all First Responders in the case involving the Julie Fisk murder in February 2024. Julie was murdered and the house set on fire. Brent Kertzman plead guilty to First Degree Murder.
Recognized by the Pennington County State's Attorney's Office with the 2025 Victim Champion Award were Sergeants Jeremy Milstead and Jason O'Cilka, and Deputies Philip Rivera, David Dross, Catlyn Cordell, Joshua Fresquez, Jacob Mayberry and Jacob Mundt.
