Denji is a controversial protagonist that often gets called ignorant and badly-written, but he is a kind and empathetic person that has simple goals in life. He is a fantastic vehicle for the idea of ignorance because of his lack of life experiences and role models. His dreams aren't big, but his heart is.

Denji is a good kid.
