Hi, I’m Andy Fyon from Rambles with Robin and Ruby. Join me in this video as I walk over some of the rock and along the beach at the Jackfish Bay ghost town area, on Lake Superior. This is not a video about the Jackfish ghost town. There are many YouTube videos on that topic. Rather, I will share what geological features I see along the rocky shore and along the sand beach and some of the disjunct Arctic – alpine plant species that I recognize growing on the rocky shore and beach. Because this area is adjacent to Lake Superior, my goal was to specifically look for disjunct Arctic – alpine plants in this area. So, if you are a hiker and have wondered what story lies in the rock you hike over or some interesting Arctic – alpine plants you encounter along the north shore of Lake Superior, there is something in this video for you.
