One of my friends organised a Birthday hike from Greyton to Mcgregor. We stayed over for the night and celebrated his birthday on top of the mountain.
Bring plenty of water and sunscreen with you, as it becomes very hot in the kloof. There is a rock pool halfway through the hike where you can replenish your water and take a dip in the natural pool.
We hiked at a normal pace, and it took us 5 hours to get to the mountain cottage. This is definitely a must-do hike!
