Shutokou Battle R (首都高バトルR) - Full Playthrough (Clean Lap, No Loss)

This playthrough was also done with minimum upgrades:
Fuel Cut Release (4,000 Points, Disable the speed limiter)
This is a mandatory tuning before the game even starts. Without this tune, any selected cars could only accelerate until 180 km/h. The first opponent in the Scenario Mode, Ken from Naniwa, finishes the race with an average of 210 km/h, which means the player will lose even against the first opponent.
6-Speed MT (40,000 Points, Enable the sixth gear)
While cars have different maximum speed after disabling the speed limiter, they would reach about 250-260 km/h. This tuning enables one more gear and raises the final speed to around 280-290 km/h, without any other upgrades.
High Grip Tires (10,000 Points, Excellent grip for normal and wet tracks)
Rainy nights start to appear from the fifth race onwards, so installing tires for wet tracks is highly recommended.

In the end, I still have 257,000 unused Points. It's possible to buy all possible upgrades with this, which makes the car stronger and finishes the race faster.


According to a strategy guide found on a fansite https://retrogame-urawaza.xyz/battle-r/ , after clearing the Scenario Mode once, new parts would appear when Scenario Mode were played again. Clearing Scenario Mode one more time yields one of these results:
If the game is cleared with any losses, you'll unlock GENKI-SP1.
If the game is cleared without losing to Keiichi Tsuchiya, you'll unlock GENKI-SP2.
If the game is cleared without losing to any characters, you'll unlock DoDA-S30.
