There are a lot of links to other tutorials on that page. The tutorials I link to will work on both Mac and PC, in software like iMovie, Final Cut, Sony Vegas, Corel VideoStudio, Adobe Premiere.
Video and tutorial page cover issues like interlacing (those weird horizontal lines that go through a video), bad quality and how to get it better, aspect ratio (of course! LOL), how to get rid of the black letterbox bars at the top and bottom of your video, audio that is choppy or breaks up in parts, software crashing, not accepting AVI files, or having a black screen, the difference between PAL and NTSC, etc.
Don't feel bad if you didn't know some of this stuff, how can you know if no one tells you?
I don't know why I felt the need to make this tutorial at this particular time, but I just felt the impulse! LOL.
