40th year of the Cheviots Challenge! The course of the "Long Run" starts and finishes in the small village of Alwinton, Northumberland and covers 19.82 miles of beautiful Cheviots trails with just over 4000ft of elevation gain... (The route is normally 22 miles long however it had to be altered slightly this year due to storm Arwen damage)... As always a fantastic event by Trail Outlaws and Northumberland National Park Mountain and rescue Team, beautiful trails and great atmosphere.
