Lifesmart LS450DX Hot Tub Unboxing

After years of enjoying inflatable hot tubs, we finally made the leap to something more permanent — the Lifesmart LS450DX, a 7-person hot tub with 22 hydrotherapy jets! I’m really excited to share this new setup with you and walk through how it all came together.

What’s great is that the LS450DX still runs on 110 volts, just like the plug-and-play inflatable tubs I’m used to — but with a big boost in size, comfort, and jet power.

Delivery + Moving the Spa
The delivery driver was super friendly and dropped it off at the end of our driveway. With the help of four 3” ABS pipes, I managed to shuffle it into place by myself — way easier than I expected! Once in the backyard, I chose a final location on our concrete slab and removed the rollers from under the tub (definitely would've helped to have more than myself for this part)

Concrete Pad Build
We poured a reinforced concrete pad, averaging about 7” thick, with rebar for extra strength. I probably went overboard, but with the full weight of the spa and water, I wanted it to last. You can watch a separate video showing the concrete slab process here:

Initial Thoughts After a Few Uses
Since filming, I’ve filled and used the hot tub 2–3 times — and I’m really impressed with the pump power and how well it filters out the iron/rust from our well water. So far, I’m loving it!
