東海道本線前面展望静岡→藤枝 ＜Cabview Japnrail Tokaido Line Shizuoka → Fujieda＞

This is a cab view of the Tokaido Main Line, Japan's leading trunk line, from Shizuoka Station to Fujieda Station.

This is a continuation of the section I uploaded previously

but I changed trains.

The Tokaido Main Line is Japan's leading trunk line, which opened in 1889, but since the parallel Shinkansen opened, it has become a long local line. The track standards are high, but the trains are short, and there is only one night express train that runs the entire line. In other words, if you want to travel between major stations on the Tokaido Line, such as Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka, you have no choice but to use the Shinkansen, or you have to take a local train, which takes a lot of time.

Nevertheless, the major cities along the line, which have developed over a long period of time, are all bustling, and tall buildings stand near the stations. Photo taken in December 2024
