Birmingham's Peter Pan 4* REVIEW – A Fresh Take or the Same Old?

It's the second biggest pantomime production in the UK, Birmingham Hippodrome's production of Peter Pan has one of the biggest most lavish sets, effects, and costumes in pantoland, straight from the London Palladium. With a very similar Peter Pan story to other crossroads venues, this show went down a treat with audiences, however I felt wasn't as good as last years spectacular of Jack and the Beanstalk, as Alison was in that show much more. Matt Slack has some incredible routines for this year, same for Andrew Ryan who is included much more in this show. His costumes are straight from the Palladium not really suited to a dames frock.

Following a triumphant season last year, and by popular demand, Birmingham’s own Alison Hammond returns to Birmingham Hippodrome’s panto, this year leading the cast as The Magical Mermaid!

Alison joins Hippodrome panto star and award-winning comic Matt Slack, who returns for an eleventh season as Smee, star of stage and screen Danny Mac as Captain Hook, resident dame Andrew Ryan and Billie-Kay who returns for a second year as Tink!

They will be joined by Rhiannon Chesterman as Wendy, and Noah Harrison in the title role of Peter Pan.

With amazing special effects, stunning sets and beautiful costumes direct from The London Palladium, Peter Pan will take your whole family on a magical trip to Neverland like never before!
