How does music help the LGBTI community tackle discrimination?

LGBTI-identifying people regularly face discrimination and demonisation, and these marginalised communities are experiencing a decline in rights and support around the globe.

Research led by Keele University- UK, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogota has shown that music may be the tool needed to foster solidarity and improve the wellbeing of LGBTI individuals. Music can empower oppressed communities, change minds and attitudes, and impact policy-makers, school guidelines, and curriculums.
