作品について / Program notes
　原曲は箏合奏団「絹の会」の委嘱で作曲した３楽章形式の長めの作品でしたが、それを木管フレキシブルのための３重奏として改編しました。
　「日本は四季を感じる素晴らしい国」と言われていますが、日本で育った私にとって正直それは「あたりまえ」のことで近年まで実感がありませんでした。
しかし最近は客演指揮、指導、講習会などで他国へ招かれる機会が増え、日本の良い面を再確認すると共にこれまで意識していなかった「日本の四季」の素晴らしさを改めて感じるようになりました。
　原曲が日本の伝統楽器である箏のために書いたこともあり、和を感じるタッチで作曲していますが、この音楽は純粋な和をイメージしたものではありません。
なぜならば現代の日本には純粋な和はほとんど存在せず、様々な国の良き文化を取り入れて、それらを融合して我々は生活しているからです。
　ですから演奏にあたっても古典的な和のイメージにこだわらず、現代の感覚で自由に想像を膨らませてお楽しみ頂きたいです。（八木澤教司）

This is the flexible woodwind trio arrangement of the original 3-movement work commissioned by the Kinunokai Koto Ensemble.
Japan is known for its four beautiful seasons. However, growing up in Japan, many are not aware of this wonderful experience. I myself did not come to realize this until having numerous opportunities to work overseas.
Originally written for the Japanese instrument koto, the music has a taste of “WA”, or traditional Japanese culture. My intent is to reflect upon modern Japanese life. In today’s society, it is difficult to find pure “WA” in Japan and our current society is full of trends that are a fusion of diverse import cultures. Therefore, when performing this work, do not be afraid to think outside of traditional Japanese style music. Be imaginative and do not hesitate to explore a new style.
