Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) for me represents a driving force in the new generation of automotive engineering outfits in Italy. They got busy developing one off cars before any of the current restomod outfits that have sprouted up over the last few years even existed.
They do amazing work in both design and engineering and have elevated what small volume Italian manufacturers are all about, specialising in the very top quality stuff, much like coach builders of the past kind of did.
It was a pleasure to meet with Riccardo Garella and find out about the Stratos, the Aspak Owl and their latest 273 project! Amazing day and a massive thanks to the team for opening their doors to us!
