Some days it all comes together, a great road, good weather, bike running well (as ever, it's a VFR). This is one of those moments.
Just over half way through our 2010 France tour with my best friend Carl we came across the D901. It had been incorporated into the route as an alteration only the day before. Not having the same research capability available to us as at home we'd relied upon the time tested method of using the green edged roads on the Michelin map. Employing a decent Garmin GPS meant that following a route across relatively minor roads didn't mean regular stopping to look at the map, so decent progress could be made.
This road runs Westwards from the town of Les Vans to the D906. Next time I'm in the area I intend to explore the continuation of the D901 all the way to Mende.
