Homeless people and supporters took part in a protest from Bru Aimsire Hostel on Thomas Street, down past the second hostel at John's Lane and onto Dublin City Council.
Trade Union would like to thank everyone who spoke with us and here is a video report from the event.
"Around 150 people will be left without a bed, forced to sleep rough when these hostels close in the next few weeks. Dublin City Council have known these hostels were due to close for some time, yet didn't make any provisions or plans for the people who rely on these services.
On Wednesday 11th of May march from Brú Aimsir on Thomas St, through John's Lane West to the council offices on Fishamble Street to protest the closure of these hostels, & to demand that all people relying on these hostels are given suitable accommodation elsewhere."
