Conversation with Shri Chakma Ashim Roy who received the prestigious award of Mohani Mohan Smriti Award 2025 on the occasion of 51st State Level Bizumela held at Chawmanu Dhalai
#MohaniMohanSmritiAward is the annual award recognised by the Department of Information & Cultural Affairs Govt of Tripura and its prize money is ₹20,000/-, a momento, a certificate and a Shawl given to the Awardee during the Bizumela. Govt of Tripura had introduced this award in the year 2024 for Chakma Community for the first time in Tripura. In the year 2024, this award was awarded to Prominent Singer Shri Abhik Kumar Chakma for his remarkable contribution to the chakma folk song. This year 2025, Shri Chakma Ashim Roy has been awarded this award for remarkable contribution to the chakma literature.
