Creating the video:

I use images of the singer Kim seokJin from the korean boy Band “BTS”. I saw his music video and I thought of Jem instantly. I found similarities of Jin as Jem because he is in the darkness, in his room feeling his sickness torture him, but mostly, he is sad. He knew he wasn’t going to have the life he wanted. In this case a long life and sharing it with Tessa.

I know that Jem is not from Korea, but I like the idea of a video with a song related to Asian culture.

Jem story:

James “Jem” Carstairs - Comes across as kind, calm and quite intelligent. Also a shadowhunter (The shadowshuntes is a race - half human and half angels - were their dutie is to protect the human world from the demons). He doesn't like to have people worrying about him and was especially secretive about his illness. He would not live long, because there is no cure to be found.

Jem last day came, but he survive by becoming a ‘Silent Brother’(male Shadowhunters who serve as archivists and medics of the Nephilim and are Immortals). He didn’t wanted to leave Tessa. Becoming a Silent Brother mean to be in the darkness of the Silent City, never be able to see his friends, family or get married.
