FLORENCE BWOKARI 1.NYAKOORA SUCCESS BAND. GESARATE 02 SIDE B

This vinly was produced in 1981 under Gesarate lable number 2.Ir was the begining of Nyakoora band. Initially the team here in, Andrew Gitenyi, Moses Oyaro, Ondari Omasira and Joseph Aboki were band members of Kegogi new jazz which its leader was Christopher Monyoncho.
In Kegogi, each had freedom of composing songs.
Monyoncho had his side hustle in timber business. At times he could be away for months . But that did not hinder the progress of the band until 1980 when Monyoncho overstayed in Meru for business. The team at home had composed this song and they were waiting for Monyoncho as their leader to come and do the necessary. When Monyoncho was not ready to come, they went ahead and recorded it. Monyoncho upon hearing this, he was furious and ordered them not to use the name of Kegogi telling them that is theirs.
Moses being the deputy band leader then, suggested that they identify themselves as Nyakoora and they all agreed.
That is how it was born.
All did not go well. In Music, there are ups and downs just like any other field.Could Monyoncho be around,all the credit of this vinly could be upon him just like King number 9 Ogosira gwa Joyce,Upendo 598 Kwini na Buyaki,etc etc.
In the mockery which followed, Monyoncho recorded a song Korwania erieta lable of Eng'aya which I will talk about it later when the upload will be ready.Meanwhile enjoy the Music .
