Eva Braun met Adolf Hitler in Munich when she was 17 years old. At that time she was an assistant and model for his personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann. Even though she was a part of Hitler's household at the Berghof near Berchtesgaden in Bavaria by 1936, she did not attend public events with him until mid-1944. Towards the end of the war, Eva Braun swore loyalty to Hitler and went to Berlin to be by his side in the heavily reinforced Führerbunker beneath the Reich Chancellery garden. One day before their suicide, Braun married Hitler on the 29th of April 1945.

Based on the most extensive compilation of archive material today, with almost half of it previously
unpublished sources, Hitler’s life is shown in detail against the social backdrop of the first half of the
20th century in a contemporary interpretation.

The Chronicles relate the life of Adolf Hitler as it interacts with Austrian and German society as well as the national and international political trends. They carefully gather visual materials starting from 1895 and tell for the first time ever the entire story in true images, from cradle to grave.
The Chronicles make no attempt at a speculative psychological interpretation of Hitler’s actions, rise to power and criminal acts. The makers of the Chronicles instead see the ‘Führer’ as a welcome and
willingly accepted projection of a large part of German nationalist circles. In these traditionally
authoritarian and ultimately apolitical sections of society, Hitler’s ac2ons and those of his followers
express and highlight a latent chauvinistic perception.
