Aldi stores, as most grocery stores are, inevitably changing on the inside. Higher prices. Customers are treated as being hostile. Meaningless savings. Less product in a package. More(quite noticeable), canned foods, bagged foods, frozen foods, and pre-processed foods. Gone are the days of fresh cooking, which I enjoy. Is it because people have chaotic lifestyles? Doubtful. People don't wanna spend anytime away from those smartphones? Probably. Everything seems to be imported, and not from America. A reason for tariffs, is to increase America's production capability and to force more foreign companies to begin manufacturing inside the USA. Example: Every liberals favorite nation...China, will not sell your product unless it's manufactured in...China.
Noticing many groceries, stocking frozen foods, fully prepared, in a bag. And many groceries, are stocking more frozen, prepared foods, that need more shelf space. So much for the future of culinary schools. Yip. Some are quite good. Many, loaded with sodium and preservatives. There are a few healthy bags on store freezer shelves. And they're quite pricey. All about convenience. To me, it's about laziness. Not difficult to cook raw chicken or fish. Where exactly the meat in a bag, comes from is for a true crime podcast.
Speaking of. Chicken prices have become absurd. It's the most available meat source in the world. Companies keep devising reasons to increase the price. And like gasoline, we keep paying that higher price.
Aldi's Grocery Company, needs more fresh fish. Their frozen fish has been the same for decades, and the price is higher than a pound of fresh fish. And it comes from...China. Not very sustainable fishing, in China. Fresh Swai, Cod, Grouper, and Whiting, are very healthy and affordable. And are caught by American fishing(except Swai, which is from Southeast Asia).
Vegetables? Where's the actual Romaine lettuce? Not Romaine hearts. People shop for Romaine, we want the actual lettuce, not lettuce in a bag. Again, guess it's all about speedy convenience.
Lastly: Where in the blue hell is the clothing? Aldi's use to carry seasonal clothing. Now it's like a junk aisle of...useless junk. One side of the aisle for women and girls. the other, for men and boys. Keep the prices at a bargain discount, and customers will purchase clothing.
Lastly. Aldi executives, need stop focusing on profit and poor employee management, and begin focusing on thousands of customer reviews. Ever bother reading Google Reviews of Aldi? Nope. Not a single reply of over a million reviews, regarding any Aldi location.
