In this video, I type in the C64 program Dragonmaster as published in COMPUTE! magazine, debug it, and then play it.
Dragonmaster is a retro action game written by David Berdan and published in the October, 1983 issue of COMPUTE! magazine. In the game, you take on the role of a knight, tasked with ridding the countryside of dragons and save the beautiful princess inside the castle.
It was originally written for the VIC-20 and ported to the Commodore 64 by Chris Metcalf, a programmer at COMPUTE! at the time. It's a fun game, and a great example of the types of programs we could find in these magazines.
