Today’s trip kicks off a new southbound freight run, picking up in Joliet, Illinois and heading for Forney, Texas, with delivery scheduled for October 8th.
We’ll get loaded in Joliet and hit the road immediately, running I-80, I-55, I-44, and I-49 as we make our way toward Arkansas. The goal is to reach Rogers, Arkansas by the end of the day to park at home before continuing the trip south tomorrow.
This run will take us from the busy industrial zones of Chicago’s suburbs through the rolling farmland of Illinois and Missouri, before dropping into the Ozark foothills and heading for the southern plains. It’s a classic Midwest-to-Texas route — long miles, tight schedules, and plenty of scenery along the way.
