For this part of the build, it's recommended by me (and the experts at Real Good Toys!) to use Aleene's Original Tacky Glue. Have a damp rag handy for wiping off glue drips, and use books or other heavy objects to ensure pieces stay flat and tight where they're glued to other pieces.
To paint the foundation, I used the "Burlap" color of Deco Art Americana acrylic paint, and #7011 "Snowbank" in Folk Art Terra Cotta Lightly Textured acrylic paint. I also added a bit of fine sand - Ashland Decorative Filler from Michael's Arts & Crafts.
The Vermont Farmhouse Jr. is made by Real Good Toys. This one was bought at Hobby Lobby. For more information and great building tutorials, visit www.realgoodtoys.com.

I want this to be a fun channel where we can learn together. I'd love to share what I know, and I hope you'll share your ideas as well. What would your perfect channel about miniatures look like? Would it feature lots of how-to demonstrations? Interviews with other miniaturists? Cool or unusual projects/builds? Dollhouses? Room boxes? Dioramas? Dolls? What scale/s do you prefer? I want this channel to meet your needs and wants, so please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
I hope you'll stick with me as we grow this channel into something special. I can't do it without you!
