Canon EOS 10 overview

Errors and omissions in this video!
The EOS 10 has an eight zone evaluative metering pattern.
The central partial metering area is only 8.5% of the frame not 12 as mentioned in the video.
The shutter speed range is 30 sec to 1/4000 of a second.
The max wind on speed (motor drive) is five frames per second.


List of custom functions
1. Cancel film rewind auto at end of roll. Y=Cancels auto rewind start N=Rewind will start at end of roll
2. Film leader out Y=Left out N=Wound in
3. Film Speed set Y=Allows override of DX speed setting N=Does not allow override
4. AF Start Y=AF starts on press of partial metering button (back button focus) N= AF starts at half press of shutter button.
5. Manual exposure Y=Dial sets aperture and Partial button + dial sets shutter speed N=reverse of Y
6. Camera shake warning Y=Turns off warning tone N= Tone sounds PIC modes.
7. Manual Focus Y=Allows manual adjust of USM lenses after focus N=use manual switch only
8. AF illuminator. Y=Done snot emit N=Automatically emits when needed
9. 1/125sec lock. Y=min speed set in AV limited to 1/125 N= All shutter speed available even if camera shake will occur.
10. Rd focus marks in VF Y=AF points do not light up in vf N=AF points do light up
11. Depth of field check Y=on pressing partial metering button N=Not possible
12. AE Lock. Y=AE locks with evaluative metering N= AE locks with partial metering button
13. Cancelation of speed limit function. Y=Speed limit function is cancelled N=In camera shake alert mode, a speed limit function prevents setting a slower shutter speed than 1/focal length of lens.
14. Date imprinting (with QD or or data back only) Y=Allows date and time together N=Date or time not both.
