PENANG NEW BYPASS: Ayer Itam – Lebuh Raya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Bypass (Latest Development Update)

The toll-free Ayer Itam – Lebuh Raya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Bypass (Package 2) began with early groundwork in 2020, and正式施工是在2021年2月开始的。

This four-lane elevated and at-grade bypass 四线道的高架及平面道路，是连接亚依淡（Ayer Itam）与林苍祐大道（Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, 简称LCE）之间的重要替代路线，will improve traffic flow to both northern and southern parts of Penang Island，有助于改善槟城岛南北交通，也支撑岛内新旧发展区的可持续成长。

One of the biggest highlights is — 这个工程最大的亮点之一就是：
从亚依淡通往LCE的车程将从原本的40分钟缩短到只需5分钟！
For those coming from Jalan Bukit Gambir, 使用者若从甘密山路（Jalan Bukit Gambir）前往LCE，taking the bypass means it’ll take just 1 minute (950 meters) instead of the usual 3 minutes (1.2 kilometers) with the current route. 省时又方便！

这条全长6公里的绕道，包括：
At-grade road 平面道路：1.8 公里
Elevated section 高架道路：4.2 公里
总长度 Total：6.0 公里

它还设有三个 strategic interchanges 三个策略性交流道，直接连接高人口密度的区域，进一步纾缓现有道路网络的拥堵问题。

Interchange Locations 交流道位置：
1.Lebuh Raya Thean Teik – Jalan Thean Teik（天德园高速公路）
2.Jalan Bukit Gambir – Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah（甘密山路 – 苏丹阿兹兰沙路）
3.Lebuh Raya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu（敦林苍祐大道）
