The Rolling Stones - Shattered

Shattered, è l'omaggio degli Stones alla musica punk, uscita nel 1978 sull'album "Some Girls", ha dei toni musicali completamente diversi è dura si, ma molto scanzonata, irriverente, disincantata così come nel testo, che vede lo sguardo di un uomo disilluso a pezzi, a brandelli il ritratto di un uomo che si riflette nelle torbide acque della sua città. Mick passeggia per la strada indifferente rassegnato all'inevitabile declino che lo circonda. Quando Jagger canta "Shmatta, shmatta ...I can't give it away on 7th avenue" fa riferimento al quartiere della moda. La parola Shmatta è uno slang per "vestiti vecchi, lisi".
