Well answer to this is that MPCB is a type of Electrical Switchgear which is used for Motor Protection. MPCB stands for Motor Protection Circuit Breaker.
MPCB gives both short circuit and overload protection (thermal protection) or only short circuit protection to AC Induction Motors and hence it is widely used in industries. We can find MPCB's in MCC's i.e. Motor Control Centre.
