I went out to film after the rain stopped late in the morning.

Major road (track) construction started in the eastern district from this day, leading to significant changes and confusion in the tram routes. I honestly thought that they shouldn't have started the construction on such a commemorative day.

The flags were flapping all day in the strong wind, but the intermittent squalls and cold made filming extremely difficult. Fortunately, the tram wraps came by in order, so I did not have to move much.

The flags were the Dutch national flag, similar to Liberation Day on May 5th, but some 750th-anniversary flags were mixed in. I initially thought it was because they were short of the national flag.

All trams were running with the 750 flags on the following day, the 28th. I was surprised because I honestly thought they would only run with the flags for a single day. The fatigue from filming for 8 hours the day before made continuous long filming sessions on the second day tough. I intended to focus only on the ones that hadn't run the day before, or the ones I had filmed but were unsatisfactory, but on this day, the tram wraps also came by in order, so I did not have to move much.

Since trams with the 750 flags were still running on the 29th, I thought perhaps I hadn't needed to rush the filming. When I checked with GVB (the transport company) to see if they were planning to run for about a week, they informed me that they had originally planned to run only with the 750 flags, but due to a mistake on the 27th, they ran with the Dutch national flags instead.

My personal impression is that since the capital is the gateway to the Netherlands, the Dutch flag offered a better sense of dignity. I also humbly suggest that the 750 flags should have had a clearer color design. Because the weather was gloomy during filming, it was difficult to confirm with the naked eye whether the flags were attached. I think the mistake of attaching the Dutch flag was beneficial in the end.

From the 30th onwards, tram number 2024 ran for several days with flags attached only on one side. I initially thought they had forgotten to remove them, but they were left on for quite a long time, so I assume they became stuck and could not be removed.

The paint on the front bumper of the Adidas tram wrap was extensively peeling off. Since the bumper underneath was blue, and the Adidas wrap was orange (a complementary color), I judged it impossible to correct in the video and did not film it. Also, the one I most wanted to film, Amsterdam 750 (car number 2025), was either not running or I couldn't find it, so I was unable to film it.
