Leftover Road Asphalt to Make a New Barn Floor

Welcome to Brown Family Farms. We bought 10 loads of crushed asphalt from the road crew that tore up the road near the farm. We used two skid loaders to move the crushed asphalt from the piles into the shed. We put the crushed asphalt on the floor so it wasn’t so dusty. It took us a total of 9 hours to take the equipment out of the shed, get 10 dump truck loads delivered, to spread the crushed asphalt with skid loaders and put the equipment back into the shed.
We have a multigenerational farm with animals, trucks and tractors. We live in a 100 year old farm house. Growing crops, selling hay, taking care of animals and being good stewards to our little piece of earth is our farm passion. There is always a job to do on the farm.
