Shivering Timbers is a large wooden roller coaster at Michigan's Adventure. The name is a play on the phrase "shiver me timbers," often used by characters in pirate-themed films, implying a shocking or terrifying tone in the wooden ship setting. Since this coaster has a long off-season for the cold Michigan winters, Shivering Timbers may also be interpreted as having a double meaning.
Shivering Timbers' elements include a 121-foot drop, several large airtime hills, including one that is 100 feet tall, as well as one that is 95 feet tall. The ride also includes eight bunny hills, two double ups, and a 630-degree counterclockwise helix before the final break run. Shivering Timbers reaches speeds of 57 miles per hour.
This video is a compilation of clips taken from different angles to track the train's trajectory. All footage was taken on Michigan's Adventure's final day of operations for the 2025 season.
