The Clash MkII - Live at the Manchester Apollo (11-01-1984)

A strong performance and a triumphant final showing at the Manchester Apollo for The Clash, and the only appearance for the late 1983 to 1985 "Clash MkII" line-up.
The occasional ineffectual solo or bum chord doesn't dampen what is a fired-up performance, and a high-energy response from the audience keeps the performance going strong well into the encores. It was performances like this that gave hope to critics and audiences as to the quality of the upcoming Cut The Crap LP, which as we all know, turned out to be a complete dud.

There is the occasion cut in the tape, and the occasional stop in the actual performance due to violence on the part of the Apollo bouncers.

There is supposed to be a better quality recording of this gig somewhere, but I've not found a download for it online! My priorities at the moment are finding The Clash at Victoria Hall, Hanley in 1982 and Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros in Birmingham in 2001 - which I'm searching very hard for at the moment.
