Episode #10 is the first of 2 videos shot for my audition for Queens University to study a degree in Music Performance (Video 2 coming soon!)
With the audition passed, a Diploma achieved and an offer accepted I am pleased to finally share the latest installment of Drum Life with you all!
The audition required 2 different styles of drum performance so for Video #1 I chose the funk/soul flavour of Tower Of Power’s ‘What Is Hip?’ in tribute to drummer, David Garibaldi.
I became a fan of Garibaldi’s drumming and the band through Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer mentioning they are his favourite band. If you’re new to Tower Of Power, I hope this video points you in the direction of their music. They’re great!
