Are you a Delorean n00b? Need to get into your Delorean's Valley of Death? Maybe you're a new owner and you've never touched a Delorean before, but have some automotive experience. Maybe you're nervous to dive into the car because you don't usually work on cars. If any of that sounds like you, you've found the right video!
This is a full guide for the Delorean N00B to removing and reinstalling the intake manifold on a stock Delorean DMC-12. This video follows the popular PDF guide created by Michael Lund and Kirk Heller step-by-step, in video form. That guide and other helpful reference materials are linked below. View disclaimer below, proceed at your own risk.
Removing the intake manifold is a common job performed on the Delorean to gain access to the "Valley of Death", or VOD. The VOD is named so because of it's reputation for corrosion, block rot, collecting dirt, rodent droppings, coolant, oil, stray bolts and washers, etc. Learning how to access the VOD is important for Delorean owners to know in order to perform several jobs that keep our cars well-maintained and running.
