In this video Ben, master luthier and general insane inventor in charge at Crimson takes a plain section of purpleheart timber.. and attempts to give it a natural looking fiddleback figuring. This is the beginning of many experiments that Ben hopes will culminate in the creation of attractive luthier grade timber being made grain by grain from upcycled and recycled materials.

Using upcycled, recycled or just plain boring materials can be a challenge.. but a very worthwhile one in many cases.
