Hard drives inside modern Lacies are Seagate branded as Seagate owns Lacie now. Back in the days when Lacie was a separate company they used either Hitachi, Samsung or Seagate drives. I have not seen Lacie with WD drive inside. Lacie was purchased by Seagate in 2012. Lacie drives are oriented to a prpfessional users who mostly use Apple Mac computers but many PC users buy Lacie drives too. There is no difference what kind of host computerit is attached to.
