With oil-free and permanent magnet motors, centrifugal compressors achieve very good energy efficiency.
By 2030, the European Commission plans to reduce F-gas emissions by two-thirds compared to 2014 levels. The F-Gas framework is therefore probably one of the most effective climate related policy measures in Europe (European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE)). The international obligations enshrined in the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol ratified by 138 countries including the US in 2022 are also in line with this.
