These Brutal Wagner Group Tactics Spread to the Russian Army

Here's how Russia has 'Wagnerized' their force after the battle of Bakhmut.

The idea of disposable troops, cannon fodder, expendable forces goes back a long time in warfare. In this current conflict in Ukraine they really came about through the recruitment of convicts from the Russian prison system by the Wagner Group. These convicts would go on to fight at Bakhmut, one of the deadliest battlefields of this war to date. Now with a little time to look back on those events, we're able to pick apart some lessons learned and see how Wagner tactics have been implemented across the rest of the Russian military.
