About Sri Ramakrishna & Sri Sarada Devi:
Sri Ramakrishna (1836 - 1886) was one of the most prominent Self-realized masters of India during the 19th Century. He was a mystic and a yogi who translated complex spiritual concepts into lucid and easily intelligible manner. He was the guru of the legendary monk Swami Vivekananda.

Sri Sarada Devi (1853 – 1920) was a mystic, saint, and spiritual counterpart of the great master Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Sarada Devi is also reverentially addressed as the Holy Mother (Sri Ma) by the followers of the Ramakrishna monastic order. An embodiment of infinite love and deep concern, her simple life was a shining example how to live a divine and pure life.

Sri Sarada Devi paved the way for the future generation of women to take up monasticity as the means and end of life. In fact Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission situated at Dakshineshwar is based on the ideals and life of Sri Ma. She played an important role in the growth of the Ramakrishna Movement.
