This one's a good example of why repetition isn't necessarily repetitive. When you've got a really solid groove, it creates a space for your ear to hang out. There's only like two melodic ideas here too. But the important thing is the soul.
(Now that I say that, I wish I'd put more soul into it... I really didn't get that rhythm down. But hopefully enough soul carried over from the soul dog himself.)
