There’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into a delicious fresh tomato, and 2025 Florida Farm Bureau Farmer of the Year Jim Alderman challenges anyone to find a tomato better tasting than his.
“The flavor’s unbelievable,” says Alderman, who has been growing conventional and organic produce for more than 40 years at Alderman Farms in South Florida. “There’s nothing that compares to our tomatoes.”
Alderman Farms grows an array of organic vegetables, including those mouthwatering tomatoes, as well as zucchini, yellow squash, cucumber, eggplant and cabbage, plus an array of herbs, across 1,200 acres of farmland in eastern Palm Beach and Martin counties. Alderman also owns a cow/calf operation.
