Class 66’s Working HARD on the Borderlands Line During August 2025. Inc DRONE ACTION-Hawarden Bridge

Few Captures of the freight on the local Borderlands Line between Wrexham General and Dee Marsh Junction during the month of August 2025.

Steel coils are brought up from Margam in South Wales to the British Steel plant in Shotton in North Wales for further process. Working is 6M76 Margam Tc to Dee Marsh Sidings & Return 6V75 Dee Marsh to Margam Tc Normally runs every day apart from Sundays. Regular traction now regeared DB Cargo 66’6s

Cement is taken down to Avonmouth from the Pen y Ffordd plant I gather for export. This is scheduled to run every Sunday Tuesday & Thursday. Working is 6V41 Pen y Ffordd Cement to Avonmouth Hanson Sidings & 6M42 Avonmouth Hanson Sidings to Pen y Ffordd Cement empties running every Monday Wednesday & Friday. Few changes this month due to a couple if failures. Start of the month 66753 carried on from last month 66741 took over and failed around the Bristol area, 66751 then took the cement empties back up to Pen y Ffordd then 66798 replaced & still getting used till the end of the month

Loco change on the Cement diagram during the month. 66753, 66741, 66751 & 66798 !! Light engine movement is now scheduled from Tuebrook Sidings

Unfortunately the RTC tractors didnt cover the Borderlands Line this morning, only went to Chester and parked up in the goods yard.
